A 22.8ac parcel of ground adjacent to the lovely village of Inchigeela in west Cork is on the market by private treaty with a guide price of €200,000 or over €8,800/ac.
Located 150m from the centre of Inchigeela village, the property is 16km from Macroom and over 70km from Cork.
Niall Cahalane of selling agents Cahalane Skuse says that at the height of the Tiger years the land had planning permission for 23 houses, a waste treatment plant and 24 serviced sites.
The holding is now for sale at agricultural value and comprises over 18ac of good pastureland with the rest in scrubland that could be reclaimed.
There is access to the farm through its own entrance.
However, there is decent road frontage at one side of the property while the other side fronts in part on to the River Lee.
Mr Cahalane points out the riverside property is not subject to flooding.
The small farmyard with the property has buildings that include a three-column haybarn with a lean to, a loose box and a hard-core yard.
While the farm has no entitlements and is on the market by private treaty Mr Cahalane says it could go to public auction at a later stage, depending on the level of interest generated.
