WATCH: Forget the iPhone, these farmers just want to talk machinery
Given the opportunity to discuss the new iPhone 7 or the latest in slurry spreading machinery, there would only be one winner for the farmers attending the National Ploughing Championship.
Day two of the Championship is underway in Screggan near Tullamore and there seems to be only one thing most visiting farmers have on their mind: machinery.
"[I am looking forward to the] machinery to see if there anything new that will make life easier on the farm.
"The Championships are all about the latest and greatest [in machinery]," said one attendee.
Another said: "I'm here just for the farming machinery. The events are an added thing, but I just want to look at farm machinery. Hoping to see something different from the usual."
However there were a couple of farmers who an interest a little bit out of the ordinary. "[I can't wait to see] 'Pimp My Pooch," said another dog loving farmer.
Another didn't care what they saw, as long as the weather stayed dry. "Sure, who cares as long it's dry. As long as it's not wet and muddy, I don't care what I see," he said.
Over 100,000 visitors are expected at today's event.
