Sunshine expected at final day of the Ploughing Championships

There are no major road delays this morning as thousands head to the final day of the Ploughing Championships in Tullamore, Co Offaly.

AA Roadwatch said to expect some delays as traffic is busy heading into Screggan from Blue Ball on the N52 Birr road.

It's a cold morning in Tullamore so make sure to bring your coat and wellies.

Met Eireann said there will be some scattered showers but most areas will remain dry this morning with sunny spells.

“It's a dry morning with sunshine. There will be some showers in the afternoon but they'll be passing,” said Met Eireann forecaster David Rogers.

Highest temperatures today range from 14 to 16 degrees in freshening southerly winds.
