Attendance record broken at the National Ploughing Championships

The National Ploughing Championships have drawn to a close in Ratheniska Co Laois.
With a first day attendance of 77,000 and a second day of 127,000, the event is expected to set a new record in its eighty-fourth year.
The attendance for the second day is the highest ever achieved by the festival.
It has been reported that the Championship will move to Tullamore for 2016 after three highly successful years in Ratheniska, Co. Laois.
This year's fun filled event had something for everyone and featured appearances by the World Champions of ploughing and sheep shearing and competitions like the National Brown Bread Baking Competition which was won by Margaret Sexton of Roscommon.
