Planning plus 52ac

Unrestricted planning permission for a substantial two-storey residence will undoubtedly boost interest in the upcoming sale of a 52ac non-residential farm close to Clonmellon in Co Meath.

Coming to auction on August 24, the farm is located in the townlands of Clongowney and Loughanbrean, near Crossakiel, Kells, Co Meath.

The farm is 3.5 miles from Clonmellon, six miles from Delvin and nine miles from the M3 interchange at Kells.

Auctioneer Thomas Potterton describes the farm as very good grazing land. However, the soil type would also lend itself to tillage, as the adjoining farm is currently under cereals.

The farm is laid out in seven gently undulating fields, with stockproof fencing, mature trees and a natural water supply.

There are cattle and sheep handling facilities in place, as well as a derelict residence. The property has a pre-auction guide price of €300,000.
