O'Sullivan new Hereford boss

The new president of the Irish Hereford Breed Society (IHBS) is Kerry native Timmy O'Sullivan, of Ahane Cross, Brosna, Tralee.

A member of the society's council, Timmy is also a member of their breed improvement committee and a past chairman and active member of the Munster branch of the society.

Timmy and his wife, Sheila, established the Aliehs Herd in 1995 with the purchase of three cows and their three heifer calves at foot from the Bawnafinny Herd owned by the Cunningham family at Blarney. Ivor Deverell, Ballyaville, Geashill, Co Offaly of the well-known Ballyaville Herd is vice-president of the Society.
