At the recent SIMA Show in Paris, New Holland launched its new T4 PowerStar tractor range.

Geared towards smaller users or even municipalities, this new series features three models, the T4.55, T4.65 and T4.75, with engine powers of 55hp, 64hp and 74hp respectively.

Under the hood is Fiat Power-Train Industrial's F5C mechanical injection engine, which, the firm says, will use Tier 3 technology to meet the current emission regulations.

For the operator, New Holland says the entire cab has been redesigned to ensure that all controls fall to hand for operators of all shapes and sizes in what it calls a 'Command Arc'.

Wide opening doors and a flat floor help ease access in and out while the instrument cluster moves in conjunction with the tiltable steering column. Air conditioning is also available.

The standard transmission is a 12 x 12 mechanical unit, though there is an optional hydraulic shuttle available. A 20 x 20 creeper variant is also offered.

Other options include a 15-degree swivel seat and a 540 Eco PTO speed option.
