New €500k fund for agri-business start-ups

A new €500,000 start-up fund has been launched to help drive ideas and create businesses in the agricultural and manufacturing sectors.
Business and Employment Minister Ged Nash launched the fund which provides for up to €50,000 in equity support for successful applicants. The fund closes for applications on Wednesday, September 30.
The fund is part of Enterprise Ireland's strategy to help start-up and early stage companies to get off the ground and launch new products and services in the international marketplace. They are aiming to create businesses with the potential to employ more than 10 people and hit €1m in export sales within three years.
