Twenty-eight acres of farmland in Co Meath that failed to sell at auction recently is said to be under negotiation.
Auctioneer John Harrington, of Smith Harrington Auctioneers, confirmed he hoped to conclude the sale of the non-residential holding at Kilcarn, Johnstown, Navan, this week.
The property was withdrawn from auction on May 4 when it failed to meet its €225,000 reserve.
Despite the disappointing auction result, Mr Harrington said that he felt confident it would soon go to sale agreed.
There was mainly local farmer interest in the land, which did not include any farm buildings.
