'Mixed quality' farm on market for e350k

A guide price of €350,000 has been set for a Co Cork residential farm, located in the Toon Valley, six miles from Macroom town.

The farm at Silvergrove, Kilbarry, is described by the selling agents Sherry Fitzgerald Hinchion as mixed quality.

It includes 30ac of good grazing ground, 30ac of overgrown ground and a further 38ac of mountain land.

The 30ac of overgrown land incudes mature native forest, which the auctioneers maintain could be reclaimed in part.

The residence is a two-storey stone built farmhouse with a slate roof. The yard includes some other stone farm buildings, situated adjacent to the house. The farm has extensive road frontage along three minor country roads.

The house has been modernised in the past and now features pvc windows and doors. It is located six miles from the town of Macroom.

Enquiries to Sherry Fitzgerald Hinchion on 026 56400.

Meanwhile, the same agents are also handling the sale of a 55.44ac non-residential farm within the town boundary of Macroom.
