Mayo land guided at €8k/ac
Three plots of agricultural land totalling 32ac at the northern end of Lough Carrowkeribly between Ballina and Foxford in Co Mayo are coming on the market by public auction with a guide price of €8,000/ac.
Located 6km from Ballina the three plots of land were totally reclaimed, ploughed and reseeded by the current owner, a builder with a passion for land.
The first parcel is an 11ac piece of ground on the banks of Lough Carrowkeribly at Attymass. Coming with a kilometre of road frontage to a side road between Ballina and Foxford, the land also has a kilometre of lake frontage.
What was once waste ground is now in lovely pasture with excellent fencing, a new cattle pen, handling facilities and new gates.
"It would also have good site potential with the requisite planning permission," said auctioneer Karl Fox.
The second parcel totalling 13ac is located just north of the northernmost tip of the lake. This rectangular plot of land is described as quality ground with good road frontage.
The third parcel is another rectangular plot totalling 8ac. This land is of the same excellent quality, is well marked, surrounded by hedgerows and comes with good frontage to the road.
The holding will be sold by public auction on Friday, October 7 at 4pm at the Merry Monk, Killala Road, Ballina, Co Mayo.
