Local interest expected for Carlow holding

Local farmers are expected to drive competition for a 46ac arable, non-residential holding at Tankardstown, Tullow, Co Carlow, which has just come on the market.
Described by Matthew Conry, of Dawson Auctioneers, as "exceptional arable land which is in great heart", the holding has its own natural water supply thanks to the river Dereen, a tributary of the Slaney.
Located four miles from Tullow, the lands are currently in grass, but the ground is also eminently suitable for tillage.
For the purchaser who might want to turn it into a residential farm, the property has substantial road and river frontage.
Mr Conry said that there have already been a lot of enquiries about this property.
It goes to auction at Dawson's Tullow office at 3pm on Thursday, October 14
