Back in 2009, the nation first set eyes on the young Glasgow woman of Irish descent when she put herself forward as a contestant on TG4's Glór Tire.

Lisa, whose mum is from Falcarragh, Co Donegal, and dad a native of Castlederg, Co Tyrone, was mentored on the show by country star, Robert Mizzell.

Lisa reached the final of that year's contest and moved to Letterkenny to work full-time as a country singer.

She is now one of Ireland's top female country stars.

"You couldn't buy the kind of publicity I got out of that show," Lisa says.

Glór Tire is now looking for new contestants for its next series. To apply, simply email a video of yourself performing to glortiretg4@gmail.com with your contact details. The deadline is September 6.
