Laurelelm herd takes another award

The multi-award winning Laurelelm herd has added another accolade after it was judged overall Senior winner of the IHFA National Herds Competition 2016.

The award was presented to the Co Cork based herd of Rickey Barrett, The Elms, Adamstown, Ballinhassig at the IHFA Open Day in Menlough, Co Galway.

The long established herd continues to be one of the most successful in the country, both as a leading production herd and prize winner in the judging rings on the agricultural show circuit.

The award for the herd with the highest EBI in the senior category was presented to Muiris Harty, Ballyheigue, Co Kerry for his Ballylongane herd.

Second place in the senior herd awards went to Brochan Cocoman, Kilwarden, Co Kildare and third was James Kelly, Phillipstown, Drogheda.
