The holding is all in grass, in two divisions with natural boundaries and hedgerows.

Auctioneer Paddy Jordan opened the auction when he accepted a bid of €200,000. A fine crowd of neighbours had gathered to keep an eye on proceedings and among them were three local bidders. When the three sprang into action the price rose in tranches of €10,000 and then in increments of €5,000 until the place was put on the market at €375,000. It was bought at that price by a local tillage farmer.
