Land price slide sees values fall by 50pc

AGRICULTURAL land values continued to decline at a fast rate last year, with Leinster and Connacht taking a bigger hit than Munster.
The survey, carried out for the IAVI by independent research economist Geoff Tucker, reveals that farmland values in Leinster and Connacht fell by at least half when compared to 2007, while the Munster fall was two-fifths.
