NEIGHBOURING or adjoining farmers are expected to be the main target market for a 26ac Co Kerry holding.
Auctioneer Brendan Mannix, who is handling the sale, said given the land's location at Tullig, Castleisland, on a local ring road, it is situated in a very convenient setting for nearby farmers wishing to add a manageable holding onto their existing land.
Although he's not quoting a guide price, Mr Mannix said the sale should realise around €250,000 or more.
"We're open to any good offer and we're willing to talk and all reasonable offers will definitely be considered," he said.
Mr Mannix describes the land as a good quality grassland holding that would be suitable for dairy or beef farmers.
"The front eight acres are heavy but the remainder of it is much better on a more elevated ground," he said.
The lands have good road accessibility with approximately 150m of road frontage. They are serviced with a farm road and have a cattle crush and holding pens in situ.
"The fields are well-proportioned with very good fencing and gates," he added.
