Keenly priced Wicklow farm

A 72ac farm on the Wicklow-Kildare border with great views has come on the market with a guide price of €6,000 to €7,000/ac.
Located at Glenmore and Eleverstown, 5km from both Ballymore Eustace and Blessington, the farm has views towards Punchestown Racecourse. With good binoculars perhaps one could go to the races without leaving home.
Eamon O'Flaherty of Property Partners Brady Maynooth, in conjunction with agricultural consultant Sean Doyle, is handling the sale of the farm. The lands are described as good quality ground suitable for any agricultural use especially livestock or bloodstock.
The holding is being offered in two lots with the first comprising c.21.5ac laid out in two good-sized fields with extensive frontage onto a public road.
The second lot extends to c.50.5ac on the opposite side of the public road.
This is also laid out in number of easily managed fields with fine mature specimen trees and plenty of shelter.
Under a sward of after-grass it was used for meadowing earlier in the summer.
The selling agents believe they have put a very keen guide price on the property at €6,000 to €7,000/ac and are confident it should attract good interest.
"This is an excellent opportunity for a 'start-up' farmer or for an adjoining landowner to increase their existing holding at a realistic price," said Mr O'Flaherty.
The farm will be offered for sale by public auction on Monday, October 10 at 3pm in Lawlors Hotel, Naas, Co Kildare.
Joint agents for the auction were Property Partners Brady and Sherry Fitzgerald Reilly.
