The company says this model is aimed at customers who prefer an alternative colour scheme to the usual green and yellow.

This olive and black Gator is fitted with aggressive tread, off-road-style tyres and a steel tipping cargo box as standard.

Durability

John Deere says that its Gator is specifically designed for off-road and rough-terrain performance, and is based on a hydroformed steel frame chassis for increased durability.

Power is supplied by a three-cylinder, 24hp Yanmar diesel engine. This is coupled to a dual range CVT transmission which has a top speed of 30mph.

Independent suspension all round gives 175mm of suspension travel and 270mm of ground clearance.

Maximum payload capacity is 635kg and towing capacity is 590kg on level terrain. Four-wheel drive is selected by a dash-mounted electronic rocker switch plus front and rear differentials can also be locked.
