AN IFA delegation (left) met with Minister for Agriculture Simon Coveney and his officials last Friday to discuss progress on the the EU Commission's proposals on the CAP post-2013.
IFA president John Bryan urged the minister to secure adjustments and flexibilities for Ireland on the key issues of the flat-rate proposals, 2014 as a reference year and plans for rigid 'greening' measures.
Mr Bryan said the ongoing efforts of the minister in finding solutions would be fully supported by Irish farmers.
