Farmers are to protest outside the Department of Agriculture headquarters in Dublin today at the slow level of progress over the Farmers Charter.
IFA deputy president Tim O'Leary said farmers are becoming extremely frustrated over the lack of progress from Agriculture Minister, Simon Coveney, in finalising a new Charter of Farmers' Rights to coincide with the new CAP.
Mr O'Leary said there were the outstanding issues to be resolved on a new charter included a fairer inspection system and reasonable notice of inspections.
