The ICMSA is calling for a review of products to treat fluke in dairy cows after the Irish Medicines Board's decision to limit the number of products available.
ICMSA dairy chairman Pat McCormack said that dairy farmers are concerned that some products they had traditionally used are no longer available.
"In the kind of wet weather conditions we've experienced over the past number of years, treatment for fluke is hugely important," he said.
