MORE THAN 300 modern and vintage tractors are expected to take part in the annual Ardfinnan Tractor Run in aid of the South Tipperary Hospice.

Undaunted by higher diesel costs, farmers in the region have vowed to turn out in force on Sunday, May 8, to try to top the €67,000 raised for the worthy cause last year.

However, the action is not restricted to tractor drivers, with a family fun day out provided on the green.

Open air music, provided by the Loose Cannons, will be the backdrop to the tug-of-war, bouncy castle, sack racing, face painting, rubber duck races and other entertainment on the day.
