'Hit the Diff' hits the turf of Croke Park

Singer and contractor Marty Mone had the honour of performing his song 'Hit the Diff' at half-time during the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Quarter-Final between Monaghan and Tyrone in Croke Park, Dublin.

The video for his machinery-themed tune, which includes plenty of images captured by the Monaghan man at work in his tractor, has now attracted more than 1.6 million views on YouTube. The contractor also plays with the band The Mad Ass Mules.

Some of the more memorable lines in the song include 'Oh, gimme a yoke with plenty of poke' and 'I said goodbye before July to the woman in an awful rush and it was near Christmas before I got back in touch'.
