A 33ac farm for sale at Kilcrohane, Sheep's head in West Cork is in one of the most beautiful and scenic areas of the country. The farm and yard come for sale in lots by private treaty with a guide price of €235,000.

Located at Reagh the property is about 6km from Kilcrohane, 21km from Durras and 28km from Bantry. With some magnificent sea views the farm is part of a green oasis among rougher mountan land. Auctioneer Henry O'Leary describes it as "a green basin on this scenic headland."

The holding is in one parcel and divided by a public road and is currently all laid out in grass. It can be bought in its entire or in two lots comprised of a 15ac parcel and an 18ac parcel.

The pasture is old but with a little work Mr O'Leary believes it has the makings of a fine holding.

The land for the most part is of a gently sloping nature and the 18ac parcel has extensive public road frontage.

"While the land is interesting it is the views that will blow you away," Mr O'Leary says. "To the north you are overlooking Bantry Bay and to the south Dunmanus Bay."

The ground is suitable for grazing or meadowing and is divided into a number of fields that are paddocked with water to all paddocks.

An old farmyard is included with the 15ac parcel in the sale. It is comprised of two large traditional stone sheds, an old collecting yard, a number of smaller cow byres and calf sheds and an old milking parlour all set on a concrete apron with a silage pit.

The yard could potentially be developed for dwelling purposes and has spectacular views over Bantry Bay.

According to Mr O'Leary while the farm would make a nice addition to neighbouring holdings, "it is large enough for a hobby farm".

"With the required planning permission, it would make an beautiful setting for a family home," he said.
