Heatricks revel in Hereford Society triumph

TOP SPOT: There was a lively trade at the Hereford Society's Autumn Sale in Kilmallock Mart recently. Prices averaged €2,415 with a range of €1,600 to €3,500 and a clearance of 73pc. The champion at the event was exhibited by father and son team Sam and Nigel Heatrick of Glaslough, Co Monaghan. Judge John Neenan of Broadford selected Glaslough Lad by Rathregan Napoleon out of Glaslough Apple Blossom for the top spot. Well known Co Limerick breeder Pat Hayes of Kildrummin, Kilteely paid €3,000 for the animal.
