Hardi introduced a new front tank design and a new Master Plus tractor-mounted sprayer at this year's SIMA Show in Paris, France.

Available with boom widths of 12-28m, the Master Plus features a vertical-folding boom.

The booms are built from steel in a lattice design, which Hardi claims gives the greatest possible strength while keeping the weight down.

Despite being four metres wider than the 24m machine in work, the 28m booms are no wider than the 24m machine in folded transport mode.

Controlling the 28m wide booms is a self-levelling suspension, which features a heavy-duty coil spring to absorb any sudden movements.

An anti-yaw device is incorporated into the boom centre to help minimise any movement of the boom when folded out for spraying.

Capacity

The PRO boom functions are all electro-hydraulically operated from the sprayer's control panel.

For those requiring even more capacity, the firm also introduced a new front-linkage-mounted tank.

The new 1,000 litre is designed for use in combination with bigger lift-mounted sprayers such as the Hardi Master Plus 1,500-litre and 1,800-litre models.

The extra weight on the front of the tractor acts as ballast for the larger capacity sprayers.

In operation, the driver has the option to electrically select either the front or the rear tank to spray outof first.

Up front, an agitation kit ensures that the spray solution is mixed, using a 12-volt stainless steel centrifugal pump driven from the tractor's electrical system.

Prices have yet to be announced.
