Greencore's snub to barley growers

Malting barley growers in the south-east are up in arms over the unilateral decision by Greencore to deny around 300 producers a contract to grow the crop for the 2010 season.
IFA president John Bryan said the move was "totally unacceptable" and a farmer delegation is to meet Greencore chief executive Patrick Coveney next Thursday.
Mr Bryan said a fair solution that deals with the concerns of affected growers was needed.
