Farmec Ireland Ltd have confirmed they will be working a range of the German manufactured Fella mowers at the FTMTA Grass and Muck event in Gurteen Agricultural College on May 14.
The Co Meath-based distributors say the Fella SM 310FZ-KC front mounted mower will be mounted together with the SM 310 TL-KC linkage mounted mower.
Both of these machines are fitted with the effective spring tine conditioners, which can be easily detached from the mower – a feature unique to Fella.
The Fella SM 310 FZ-KC is a six disc, 3m front-mounted mower with trailing headstock – a design chosen because Fella engineers maintain pulling is easier than pushing.
The spring loaded, parallel-ogram overhead frame allows the cutter bar a large freedom of vertical and oscillating movement to follow the ground contours without surface damage or ploughing into the ground.
Meanwhile, the SM 310 TL-KC is a matching six disc, 3m linkage mounted mower. Centre pivot attachment and a trailing cutter bar allows the mower to follow ground contours.
A hydro-pneumatic suspension system provides constant, continuous variable ground surface contact pressure, which is adjustable from the cab. This is adaptable to a wide variety of ground conditions, allowing the surface pressure of the cutter bar to be adapted to the surface conditions.
