Farm machinery contractors' web hit goes on DVD
It started with a pair of farm machinery enthusiasts making video clips with their mobile phones of contractors at work. But, after 30,000 hits on YouTube, Maurice Healy and John Anderson are attempting to turn their pastime into a commercial venture with a DVD set to be released next month.
Clips featuring silage contractors in Cork and Kerry working with the latest kit and performing quirky feats such as opening a can of coke with a massive 14ft silage buck-rake have led to farm contractors queuing up to get their hands on copies of the footage.
The DVDs will also include aerial footage of the machines in full flight.
Mr Healy, who works for Kerry-based contractor Eddie Walsh, hopes to have the DVDs available at a cost of €20. For more information, check out www.mudwanderson.com
