At the recent LAMMA Show in the UK, Irish firm Dromone Engineering won the 'Best New Product or Innovation with a retail price less than £5,000' award for its new linkless roller pick-up hitch.

The new hitch is said to incorporate many of the features of the company's high, mid and low range hydraulic pushback hitches.

It was initially designed for tractors that had no room for lift rods and it operates independently from a tractor's lift arms. The design uses a hydraulic ram and chain to lower the hitch while also offering the pushback function so the driver can see the hook.

Dromone says that it is a low-profile design to maximise ground clearance. The design allows for equal lifting capacity across the full hitch and can be used with an inter-changeable tow hook, piton, drawbar or K80 Ball system.
