HAVING been withdrawn from auction at €910,000, a two-storey period house on 138ac of land was sold soon afterwards for an undisclosed amount.
The 19th century Carrickmoyragh House is in need of renovation but is completely surrounded by its own land. It had a pre-auction guide price of €900,000.
The residential farm is located one kilometre from Newtownforbes, 10 minutes from Longford and one hour from Sligo.
The substantial house has two reception rooms, five bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and an impressive tiled hall. The courtyard and farmyard contain a good range of outbuildings and sheds. The property comes with a derelict gate lodge, while the property also has extensive road frontage.
The land was laid out in four divisions and originally offered in lots of 104ac, 30ac, 2.465ac and 1.134ac.
Auctioneer Jimmy Murtagh, from selling agents James L Murtagh, described the land as mixed quality, with some very good quality sections and some poorer quality ground.
