John Deere recently added a new two-wheel drive model to its 5E range of utility tractors.
The cabless 5055E is the smallest in the 5E series and the only model offered in two-wheel drive.
Powering the 5055E is a 55 horse-power, Tier III turbo-charged intercooled three-cylinder John Deere PowerTech M engine.
This is matched to a basic spec synchromesh transmission with 9F/3R gears.
Brakes are hydraulically actuated wet disk brakes.
Three-point linkage lift capacity is 1.8t at the link ends.
Front loader options include a choice of two mechanical self-levelling or non self-levelling loaders, with lift capacities of either 873kg or 989kg to a maximum lift height of 3.38m.
