Oldcastle auction

Elsewhere in the Royal County Navan auctioneer Raymond Potterton is handling the sale of a 50ac residential farm at Knockbrack, Oldcastle, Co Meath.

This farm is somewhat unusual in that it can be reached by footpath from the town centre.

The holding includes a two-storey Georgian farmhouse in need of complete renovation and a traditional farmyard with some cut-stone buildings in need of extensive refurbishment.

The property comes to auction with a guide price of €420,000, or over €8,000/ac.

The lands are laid out in seven divisions entirely under old pasture divided by mature hedging.

The ground is free-draining and most of the paddocks have access to water from a gravel-based stream that runs the length of the farm.

At auction a parcel of 6ac will be offered separate from the entire, while the house on 44ac makes up a second lot.

The property will be sold at auction at the Navan salesrooms of Raymond Potterton at 3pm on Tuesday, April 28.
