Control report is vital

Irrespective of the kind of on-the-spot check carried out, a control report should be provided to the farmer where there appears to be any non-compliance.
The farmer or his/her agent should be given the opportunity to attest his presence and add observations to this report.
The control report is very important as it is the Department's proof the inspection was carried out.
Signing this report does not mean its contents are accepted but merely acknowledges the inspection took place.
Always seek copies of all documentation created as a result of the inspection. This will be crucial if you are considering any appeal process.
If you are subject to an inspection that has not followed the appropriate procedures contact your advisor immediately.
