Conclusion reached for Westmeath holding

NEGOTIATIONS concluded on the sale of 22ac residential farm in Westmeath that was withdrawn from auction last week.

The farm at Kilkenny West, Glasson, Athlone, was bid to €260,000 at auction on June 11. It sold afterwards for €300,000.

Auctioneer James Murtagh said the price achieved was on or around the guide price being quoted prior to the auction.

There were five bidders for the property.

Meanwhile, negotiations are continuing for a period residence on 138ac in Co Longford with the same auctioneers.

Carfickmoyragh House, located in Newtownforbes, Co Longford, was withdrawn from auction on Friday.

The well known beef fattening farm was guided at €950,000.
