Co Cork secures another dealer for New Holland

NEW HOLLAND has made MC & S Agri Sales in Ballincollig, Co Cork, its new dealer for the region in what would have traditionally been strong Ford country.

The new dealership has been started by John McCarthy, a former and experienced New Holland salesman, and Gordon Sullivan, New Holland customer, contractor and local farmer. They are joined by two New Holland service specialists so that, as a team, the dealership will be able to offer plenty of sales, after-sales and service expertise.

MC & S Agri Sales will supply New Holland tractors, round balers and small square balers in the area.

"The market has been depressed but we're very confident that if we start off small, as the economy begins to grow again, we will get stronger and stronger," said Mr McCarthy.

"We're all very familiar with New Holland products and with the Ford tractor heritage, so we know it's a good product.

"All of us are well known around Cork and there are lots of New Holland customers in this area."

New Holland's own network development manager, Moir Russell, says it's great to see new investment now taking off again in Ireland.

"People are beginning to invest in the future again and MC & S Agri Sales has chosen to invest in a brand they know they'll have a strong future with," he said.

"The creation of this new dealership, working alongside Shorten's Garage, Colemans Millstreet and Cavanaghs in Fermoy means that New Holland is now back up to full dealership strength in Co Cork."
