The property was bid to €475,000 and withdrawn from auction by auctioneer David Quinn. It sold immediately afterwards for a substantially higher figure.

Located at Ballard, Ballinaclash near Rathdrum the land has been cleared of Christmas trees and only stumps remain. Consisting of free draining ground with good road frontage the holding is serviced throughout by a number of internal roadways.

At auction the property was initially offered in two separate lots located 500m apart.

A 36ac parcel was bid to €190,000 and a 62ac piece was bid to €275,000 making a total of €465,000.

The entire was then bid to €470,000 when it was withdrawn. It sold immediately afterwards to the highest bidders who intend to continue using the ground to produce Christmas trees.
