CAP campaign rolled out on the big screen

An advertising campaign to garner public support for the EU's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is being launched on both big and small screens around the country this week.

Agri Aware, an educational body supported by the food industry, the EU, the IFA and FBD, is rolling out the €500,000 campaign that will centre on 30 and 90 second adverts encouraging consumers to support the aims of the EU's €55bn annual spend on CAP.

The ads on the virtues of the scheme will be shown in cinemas for the next four weeks.
