Bioenergy planting date extended

The Department of Agriculture has announced a two-week extension to the closing date for the submission of applications under this year's Bioenergy Scheme, which now closes on Wednesday, February 2.

Dairy date in Limerick

The Positive Farmers' two-day conference kicks off this Thursday in Limerick with a packed agenda aimed at gearing farmers up for what promises to be one of the biggest expansion phases ever witnessed by the Irish dairy industry.

Speakers at the event include Teagasc's dairy specialists, Laurence Shalloo and Adrian van Bysterveldt, on how to cope with expansion and manage potential super-levy situations over the coming years.
