Bullocks made from €480 to €1107 over
There was a great turnout of excellent quality stock for the Marts 58th Special Anniversary Sale on Friday last with one lot of cattle making over €10,000.
Roscommon Mart reports that there was a good demand for all classes from the large attendance of Buyers resulting in a very high percentage clearance of lots.
It says prices for bullocks fetched from €2.42/kg up to €3.09/kg an average increase of 16c per kilo compared with the same sale last year.
Average prices for heifers also showed an increase of 13c per kilo from last year’s figures with lots averaging €2.41/kg up to €3.06/kg.
Prices for dry cows ranged from €1.82/kg up to €2.14/kg. Dry Cows made from €700 to €1845
