A number of significant auctions are planned throughout the country this week.

Among them is one of the largest properties to come on the market in Co Mayo for some time and this will be sold at auction in Galway this evening (Tuesday, July 5).

The 120ac farm, for sale on the owner's instructions, comes with an unfinished five-bed detached residence. Located at Island, Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo the holding is being guided at €950,000.

The property is well situated and is located just 3.5km from Ballyhaunis town centre and within easy reach of Claremorris, Knock and West International Airport and easily accessible.

The house, which can be sold separate to the land, is at second fix stage and enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding countryside including Annagh Lake.

Extending to 3,500sqft the dwelling has triple glazed windows throughout, geothermal heating and hallowcare floor and staircase. The fireplaces are built with natural stone and all bedrooms have ensuite facilities.

A portion of 94ac is top quality grazing lands, which is well fenced with water laid on.
