A 21ac non-residential farm at Lisnagry on the outskirts of Limerick City is on the private treaty market with a guide price of €160,000 or €8,000/ac.

Located in Bottomstown and laid out in six fields, the property is just 10 minutes from the University of Limerick and Plassey Technological Park. The current owners are retaining the house and farming facilities while the land is for sale.

The best of the ground is located close to the roadside while the portion furthest away from the road tends to be softer in nature and would make good summer grazing ground.

According to Tom Crosse of GVM, the property has the potential to be an ideal addition to an existing holding or could be farmed as a part-time or hobby holding. "The software engineer or the University lecturer with a grá for the few acres might be tempted by this very handy holding with residential potential," he said.

GVM auctioneers Limerick and John Lee Newport are acting as joint agents for the sale.

Westmeath holding

A 34ac roadside farm near Collinstown in Co Westmeath is to be sold at auction with a guide price of €200,000.

Located at Cummerstown, the property is in the parish of Collinstown, north east of Mullingar.

The lands are described by Padraic Murtagh of James L Murtagh as made up of mainly good quality ground laid out in a number of neat divisions with plenty of road frontage.

A small farmyard with the holding includes a slatted shed and a range of useful farm buildings and cattle handling facilities. At auction, the place can be bought as an entire or in lots with a 4.7ac piece that includes the farm buildings making up one lot, while an 18.6ac piece is in a second lot and a 10.5ac portion a third.

The place will be sold at auction at the Greville Arms Hotel, Mullingar at 3pm on Friday, May 5.

Meath auction

It comes with extensive road frontage of approximately 285m, with 650m of river frontage on to the River Boyne.

It will be sold at auction at the Smith Harrington auction rooms, Navan, at 3pm on Tuesday, May 9.
