A prime Kilkenny tillage opportunity

A 178ac tillage farm near the village of Gowran is of the most substantial farms to come on the market in Co. Kilkenny for some time. It is to be sold by public auction with a guide price of €10,000 to €12,000/ac.
Located 0.5 miles from Gowran on the Gorsebridge road the farm is a short drive from the M9 and eight miles from Kilkenny City.
The land is entirely in tillage except for a small patch in grass and is described by Matthew Conry of selling agents REA Dawson, Tullow as the best of tillage without an inch of waste.
Currently under a crop of winter cereal the farm is laid out in well-proportioned, good-sized fields.
There is superb road frontage on to the Goresbridge road and on to a side road known as the Castlekelly road.
The farm is easily accessible with four different entrances and comes with no buildings. While eminently suitable for tillage the holding could equally be suited to any type of farming including dairy and equestrian.
Mr Conry says this is one of the most sizeable arable farms to come on the market in the area for several years.
The property will be offered in lots or as an entire with 48ac making up one portion, 86ac in a second piece, while a 43ac parcel makes up the third.
The sale takes place at The Lord Bagenal, Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow at 3pm on Thursday, June 4
