A 64ac residential dairy farm at Granagh in Co Limerick is coming to market by public auction with a guide price of €9,000/ac.

Located at Doorlas, Granagh, the property is 10km from Croom, 10km from Kilmallock and 20km from Limerick City.

Accessed by means of a right of way, the lands are laid out in nine fields with their own water supply and are described by Charleville auctioneer, John Flynn, as top class grazing ground.

The residence on the farm is a traditional, three-bedroom farmhouse (pictured above) while the yard consists of a range of old-style farm buildings.

John Flynn expects strong local interest in the farm as well as some outside interest. The holding comes to auction at the Charleville Park Hotel, Charleville at 3pm on Thursday, March 19.

Cork holding

A few miles further south on the outskirts of Cork city, Eamon O'Brien of CCM Marts is bringing a 53ac residential farm to auction. Located at Corrin, Whitechurch, the property is the subject of a probate sale and is guided at €500,000.

The land is described by Mr O'Brien as all good except for an 8ac patch that could do with draining and would also be suitable for planting.

There is limited access to the road. However, over the years family members built houses on sites on the farm and one such site remains.

While it does not currently have planning permission it might nevertheless be a valuable asset to a new owner.

The holding will be sold at auction at the Mart Centre, Corrin at 3pm on Thursday, March 19.
