The property at Drummond, Hill of Down, Co Meath will be offered for sale at public auction on September 15.

Coonan Real Estate Alliance, who is handling the sale, is guiding in excess of €325,000 for the entire but will offer the property in lots: the cottage on 0.7ac, 40ac of land, and the entire.

The farm is located three miles from Clonard, 10 miles from Enfield and six miles from Kinnegad. It's also within easy reach of Maynooth (28 miles) and Dublin (40 miles). “This is a superb agricultural holding in an excellent location just off the old Enfield/Kinnegad road,” said auctioneer Willie Coonan.

The property comprises a land commission cottage now in need of refurbishment but with considerable potential to develop as it is on a mature site in a peaceful rural setting, the auctioneer says.

Refurbishment

Accommodation includes hall, sitting room with fireplace, kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom.

“It extends to approximately 1,000 sq ft in total and although now in need of complete refurbishment, it could easily revert to a cosy family home,” Mr Coonan said.
