As coastal property goes, a 27ac holding near Durrus in West Cork is as good as you will get. This non-residential holding, overlooking Dunmanus Bay, is laid out in two divisions and is currently in grass. For sale by private treaty, auctioneer John Hodnett is guiding the sale at €10,000/ac.

The farm is located at Rossmore, 2.5 miles west of Durrus village and 100m to the north of the Durrus to Kilcrohane coastal road.

According to John Hodnett, this low lying, south-facing property has been recently reseeded and enjoys good early grass growth.

He describes the fencing as second to none and, with a by-road dividing two acres from the main part of the holding, there is extensive road frontage.

"This should make the property attractive to customers who want to construct a residence, which, of course, will only be possible with the requisite planning permission," Mr Hodnett said.

The holding enjoys magnificent views over Dunmanus Bay and will certainly be an attractive property to a range of potential buyers.

There has been significant interest from local farmers and there is currently an offer on the farm. The property will be looked at by those in the holiday home market and those looking for a hobby farm.

Farms of this size have been making good money in West Cork in recent months and Mr Hodnett is hoping that this trend will continue for this property.
