EIRCOM has reported revenues of €311 for the third quarter in 2014, down 1pc.

Earnings grew to €120pc, an 8pc increase although the previous year's figure was negatively impacted by the cost of storm damage.

The company announced continued broadband growth with 766,000 total broadband connections, a 9pc hike year-on-year.

There was also strong high speed fibre uptake, up 40,000 to 242,000.

Operating costs continued to drop too, and were off 6pc with a 17pc decrease in the pay bill.
