The Dublin-based online commercial photo startup, PR Slides, has announced €500,000 in new funding from a collection of technology investors.

PR Slides’ joint chief executive, ex-Simply Zesty founder Niall Harbison, said that the company now intends to hire up to 20 people as it embarks on an export drive.

The company, which was founded by model Emma Jane Power, provides media stock photos from companies to newspapers, magazines and online publications. Its current clients include Philips, Harvey Norman and Littlewoods Ireland.

The investors announced include Engine Yard vice-president Eamon Leonard, Global Diagnostics founder Johnny Walker and Morgan McKinley marketing director Julian Kulkarni. Enterprise Ireland and investment fund Kernel Capital are also partaking in the funding round.

“This round of investment will help us expand our Irish employee base and bring PR Slides to an international level,” said Emma Jane Power.
