The biggest shopping centre in the country outside Dublin has been put on the market for €150m.

Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge has been put up for sale by its owners Ballymore Properties and Elm Holdings.

The 27,000 sq m centre opened in 2006. It is by far the biggest regional shopping centre in the country.

It's sale comes a week after loans tied to Dundrum Town Centre and other properties sold for €1.8bn.

It is the latest regional shopping asset to come on the market. Last year the Acorn Portfolio of four centres was bought by US form Varde for €170m.

The sale was first reported by industry website CoStar.
